When we think of breakfast, waffles are high on our list of “best foods,” and it’s not just because we’ve fallen in love with the Netflix series Stranger Things. Sure, we agree with the character Eleven that Eggo waffles are downright “fills your mouth with a happy dance” good, but you know what’s even better than this store-bought favorite? Homemade waffles.

These waffles topped with Buttered Pecan Syrup are delicious and filling. They make for the perfect weekend morning breakfast. To make them you’ll need these ingredients: all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, salt, whole milk or buttermilk, vegetable oil, an egg, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped pecans, butter, and maple syrup.

You can’t go wrong with these waffles; they’re fluffy and full of the tasty flavors that can be promised from a warmly baked cinnamon roll. You’ll need all-purpose flour, white sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, eggs, buttermilk, canola oil, vanilla extract, butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, cream cheese, and powdered sugar.
